From sweeping Supreme Court decisions to the deadliest migrant-smuggling tragedy in our nation’s history due to President Biden’s open-border crisis, much has happened since our last Telegram. We will touch on that and more later in this week’s edition, but first, I want to get into a very important Supreme Court ruling that was made last week limiting the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) gross overreach.

It’s been a busy week in Washington. This week the Supreme Court released a number of opinions including the final version of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade. Today’s landmark ruling is a historic victory for human rights, this decision paves the way for us to protect all life.

From President Biden’s first day in office, he made it clear that one of his priorities was to reduce American energy independence by dismantling our energy sector – forcing us to rely on foreign nations once again.

This week the House of Representatives reconvened for legislative activity after a two-week recess. I also held a Telephone Town Hall with my friend and colleague Rep. Jim Jordan (OH-4) to talk to folks back home about the issues that matter most to them. (More on that a little later).

Last February, President Biden announced his first major spending spree – a $1.9 trillion package that spent 91% on big government bailouts and pet projects. Almost immediately after Biden’s wish list went public, Clinton’s former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers started sounding the alarm that the Democrats spending habits could set off catastrophic inflationary pressures we haven’t seen in a generation and that most Americans have never experienced.

If I know one thing to be true, we are home of the free because of the brave. This weekend, as many of us take advantage of the long-awaited warm weather that is finally upon us after a lingering winter through backyard barbeques and weekend family trips, we have a special edition of the Telegram lined up for you to honor our brave fallen heroes, veterans, and their loved ones.

Dear Friend,   One of the first moves Biden made after being sworn into office was to rejoin the World Health Organization (WHO). As Telegram readers know, President Trump had withdrawn us from this controversial United Nations body due to its duplicity during the COVID-19 crisis and failure to pass along key information during the early days of the virus outbreak. 

Dear Friend,   Last week, a draft Supreme Court opinion was leaked to the media – one of the biggest scandals to ever hit the nation’s highest court. While the identity of the leaker is still unknown, it appears that the breach came from within the Court in what many are calling a last-ditch effort by a rogue law clerk turned political operative to intimidate the justices into changing their vote.
