Some of the topics brought up at the hearing were loss of access to bodies of water for fishing, land for hunting, recreation space and limited access for logging. “We got some really good information from these witnesses, who talked about how the reduction in access to our federal lands is really causing a multitude of problems, from being able to get wood out of the national forests, which is one of the primary reasons they’re there,” said Congressman WI-07, Tom Tiffany.

America’s Congress ought to represent American citizens. You might be thinking to yourself, “That’s just common sense, right?”   

My legislation to delist the gray wolf from the Endangered Species Act (ESA) passed the House with bipartisan support this week. This is a big win for Wisconsin farmers, hunters, and pet owners.   

We told you last week about a looming vote on a nearly $100 billion, multi-part foreign aid measure that was scheduled for a weekend vote in the U.S. House. On Saturday, that vote happened. 

As I write you this message, the House of Representatives is preparing for a weekend vote on a massive foreign aid package totaling nearly $100 billion. While I have supported some of the elements of this plan – such as providing additional military support to Israel in their ongoing war against Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists, and strengthening our defense relationship with Taiwan to address the growing threat Communist China poses to our own country, I remain deeply concerned about other elements of this package.
