As we wrap up 2022 with the last Telegram of the year, I want to take time to recap an incredible year.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today Congressman Tom Tiffany (WI-07), joined by Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04), introduced the Justice for Murder Victims Act. Their bipartisan proposal seeks to eliminate the 13th-century “year-and-a-day” rule, which prohibits homicide prosecutions if the victim died more than a year and a day from the date of the defendant’s assault.

With Boyden Gray & Associates serving as lead counsel, the amicus brief was filed on behalf of Senators Ted Cruz, Mike Braun, Joni Ernst, Lindsey Graham, Chuck Grassley, Bill Hagerty, James Lankford, Mike Lee, Cynthia Lummis, Marco Rubio, and Roger Wicker, and Representatives Mike Johnson, Jodey C. Arrington, Scott Fitzgerald, Doug Lamborn, Victoria Spartz, and Tom Tiffany.

But several Wisconsin lawmakers are raising concerns over the app’s use and its potential security threats. Congressman Tom Tiffany represents Northwest Wisconsin in Washington.
