WASHINGTON, DC - Today, on the one-year anniversary of Governor Evers's call to close the K-12 schools and the switch to full virtual learning, Rep. Tom Tiffany (WI-07) sent a letter to school administrators and staff encouraging them to make the best decisions for their schools for the 2021-2022 school year.
Many students have been left behind with the virtual learning model, which has set back academic achievement and subjected young people to increased emotional and psychological pressure due to the lack of social interaction.
WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Rep. Tiffany (WI-07) sent a letter to Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) urging both Senators to oppose the $1.9 trillion "American Rescue Plan Act of 2021."
The legislation contains roughly $1 trillion in spending not directly related to pandemic relief, including many special interest provisions and bailouts for big spending state and local governments, which will effectively be financed by taxpayers in fiscally responsible states such as Wisconsin.
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Rep. Tom Tiffany (WI-07) and Rep. Mike Gallagher (WI-08) introduced the Oversight for Members And Relatives Act or "OMAR Act," which would put an end to the practice of candidates for office tapping their campaign accounts to enrich their spouses.
"For too long, lawmakers of both political parties have engaged in the ethically dubious practice of pocketing campaign funds by ‘hiring' their spouses and laundering the money as campaign related expenses," said Tiffany.
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Rep. Tom Tiffany (WI-07) announced his House committee assignments for the 117th Congress. Tiffany will serve on the House Committee on Natural Resources and House Judiciary Committee.
"As a member of the Natural Resources Committee I look forward to defending American energy independence, improving forest management practices, reducing our reliance on other countries for strategic raw materials, protecting the rights of sportsmen, and making sure that Wisconsin wildlife conservation decisions stay in Wisconsin," said Tiffany.
