U.S. Reps. Tom Tiffany (R-Wis.) and Chris Smith (R-N.J.) have reintroduced legislation that would require the president to assess China’s human rights record annually and use those findings to evaluate the status of U.S.-China trade.

A New Jersey Republican lawmaker has introduced a bill that would strip China of its trade privileges unless it took "serious" steps to improve its human rights record. The China Trade Relations Act, or H.R. 638, was re-introduced by Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J., and co-sponsored by Rep. Tom Tiffany, R-Wis., in January 2023.

Rep. Thomas Tiffany, R-Wis., pressed that point by asking Ocasio-Cortez if her amendment would require a study of all health impacts, good and bad, or just the bad ones.

This is a true recovery success story, and it’s past time to give states the reins to control their wolf populations.” Boebert agreed.
