This week the Bureau of Economic Affairs confirmed what Americans have been feeling for quite some time – the United States is officially in a recession.

Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-WI) told Breitbart News he hopes Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will follow through on her stated intention to visit Taiwan despite the Biden administration’s opposition to such a trip.

In a statement issued recently by Rep. Tom Tiffany of Wisconsin, he said that the Countering Communist China Act treats China as a real threat to U.S. interests, instead of shying away from this as past legislation has done. 

Two U.S. Republican lawmakers have urged House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to proceed with her planned trip to Taiwan and convene a floor vote to pass a resolution to end the "outdated" One China Policy. In a joint letter to Pelosi dated July 22, House Representatives Tom Tiffany and Scott Perry encouraged her to "reject the objections of China's rulers and President Biden."

Congress was back in session this week. But rather than taking on the challenges confronting American families – like soaring fuel prices, surging crime, and a worsening border crisis – the Democrat majority spent much of the week engaging in attempts to fearmonger and distract. 

NEW RICHMOND – Congressional efforts to rename the post office at 430 South Knowles Ave. in New Richmond after half-brothers and World War II veterans Capt. Robert C. Harmon and Pvt. John R. Peirson have been rejuvenated.

Congressman Tom Tiffany (WI-07) sent a letter to Governor Tony Evers and Public Services Commission of Wisconsin Chair Rebecca Cameron Valcq calling for a moratorium “on the closure of any existing coal-fired power plants in response to warnings about the possibility of rolling blackouts this summer.”

There is great concern about the tens of thousands of acres in Wisconsin that may be taken out of agricultural production and into wind and solar production. As more land is being converted away from agriculture production, the FARM Act is helping to combat that.
