Tiffany Statement on the House Passage of the National Defense Authorization Act

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Tom Tiffany (WI-07) released the following statement after voting for the FY2025 National Defense Authorization Act.
“Under the Biden administration, our military has focused on DEI initiatives at the expense of lethality and the well-being of service members,” said Congressman Tiffany. “Today’s NDAA prioritizes military readiness, ensuring our forces are equipped to protect America at home and abroad.”
The following provisions were included in H.R. 5009:
- Gives junior enlisted service members a 14.5% pay raise
- Gives all other service members a 4.5% raise
- Bans dangerous sex change surgeries for minors under TRICARE
- Supports the deployment of the National Guard at the southern border
- Does not authorize any new military funding to Ukraine
- Rolls back divisive and unfair race-based preferences and policies in the military
