Tiffany Announces 2024 Congressional App Challenge

May 9, 2024

WAUSAU, WI – Today, Congressman Tom Tiffany (WI-07) announced that his office is accepting submissions for the 2024 Congressional App Challenge. All middle school and high school students (6th-12th grades) in the Seventh Congressional District are welcome to participate.

“The Congressional App Challenge is a great opportunity for students in the Seventh District that are interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to develop an app and compete against their peers,” said Congressman Tiffany.

The winner from the Seventh Congressional District will be chosen by a panel of expert judges and will be eligible to have their app on display in the U.S. Capitol.

Officially launched by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2015, this nationwide effort allows students to compete against their peers by creating an application (also known as an “app”) for desktop/PC, web, tablet, mobile, Raspberry Pi, or other devices. We accept any programming language, such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or "block code."

All apps must be submitted by FridayOctober 18, 2024 at 11:59 PM. For more information on competition guidelines please visit Congressman Tiffany’s website here. For any questions, please contact Dylan Anderson at (715) 298-9344, or email Dylan.Anderson2@mail.house.gov
